The German brand created this back in 2013, staying one step ahead of the competition. It looks similar to styrofoam, however BOOST is nothing more than TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane).
This new midsole somewhat replaced the traditional EVA in running shoes, allowing for greater cushioning. Nevertheless, it was adopted by the streetwear scene soon after.
adidas guarantees energy return with this product by absorbing and returning kinetic energy. In all honesty, these are a must have for all sneaker addicts, from sportsmen to casual wearers.
The best aspects of this “styrofoam midsole” are durability, flexibility and comfort. Do not be fooled with its fragile looks, as they are fully weather resistant.
The only downside is that TPU is porous, being extremely hard to clean. Although, if that gets to happen, you can always purchase the Mark On from Crep Protect.
